How to Impress Buyers From the Outside!

Just like a well wrapped present, your home should have appeal from the moment a buyer drives up. An inviting front yard makes a buyer want to see more. Whereas, no matter how nice the inside of your home is, if a buyer drives up to an unkempt yard, they may not want to see more. First impressions are so important.

Start with the front yard. Keep the grass cut on a weekly basis. Also keep it watered and green. No one wants to see a yellow or brown front lawn.

Add color! Adding flowers to your landscape is an easy way to improve the appeal factor. Flower beds should have perennials for that pop of color. There are so many different colors and types. Choose what you like so you will enjoy them too and don’t be afraid to mix and match varieties.

Outdoor lighting is another avenue you can use to enhance your appeal. Lighting can truly jazz up the appeal of your home. Outdoor solar lights are an efficient and inexpensive way to illuminate the features of your landscaping to accent the hardscape and showcase a sidewalk, planter, or stairs.

Take a good look and make sure everything is clean. Trim the trees and shrubs, remove any dirt and grime, paint the front door, clean the driveway, paint the outside of the house if need be. If you have a porch or courtyard, declutter it or make it feel warm and cozy. Check the fencing and roof tiles too!

These things can be done in a weekend. If you don’t have the time or desire, then consider hiring someone for the task. You don’t get a second chance at first impressions!
